IGD Habshan 5 Project Aims for "Zero Emissions"

         The IGD Habshan 5 Project in compliance with the Project requirements of Zero Emissions, set their targets that focus on ensuring that the industrial wastes, wastewater, exhaust gas and others that are generated in the JGC Control Area during construction activities are minimized and rendered to a nearly “Zero” value.  The IGD Habshan Project implemented programs in achieving the "Zero Emissions’" initiative and targets: 

 

 

  • Reduce consumption of natural resources, fuel and production of wastes.

     

  • Reuse / Recycle natural resources such as:

     

    • Wooden material reuse target is 60%

       

    • Excavated soil reuse target is 95%

       

    • Metal recycle target is 95%

       

  • Reuse of treated waste water for dust suppression activities and watering for plants, and other purposes other than for drinking.

     

  • Waste shall be segregated to meet the requirements of the treating facilities of the Company or Abu Dhabi.

     

  • Prohibiting the direct burning of waste in the construction site.

     

  • Remove or repair imperfect combustion equipment / vehicles.
