As part of JGC' corporate strategy fo conitnuous improvement and to help maintain the consistent high performance in safety culture at all project sites, the  Incident and Injury-Free®IIF®  Health Check was introduced to all JGC worldwide projects including the Donggi Senoro (DS) LNG Project in Indonesia. 

One of the intentions of the Health Check was to sample a cross section of project personnel's Perceptions versus Truths which is fundamental to understanding what drives projects personnel's actions or inactions.  These findings were then used as a driver for encouraging positive safety actions, thus helping improve and already positive safety culture at the DS LNG Project. 

The Health Check involved site walks carrying out and noting any positive and negative observations, engaging in dialogue with the workforce, supervisors and managers.  The Project top management also attended various Toolbox Talks (TBT's), Safety Task Analysis and Risk Reduction Talks (STARRT) and carried out formal interviews with the Client senior management, JGC senior management and personnel as well as the subcontractors.
